Bringing Fresh, Local Food to Classrooms
The Local Co-op connects schools with locally grown produce and hands-on learning experiences that build healthier students and stronger communities.
What is Farm to School?
Our Farm to School Program helps kids discover where food comes from while ensuring schools have access to fresh, nutritious produce.
From school gardens and farm visits to cafeteria sourcing, we make local food a part of everyday learning.
By partnering with local farmers and educators, the Farm to School Program supports sustainable agriculture while creating healthier, happier students.
Together, we’re growing a food system that nourishes the whole community!
How it Works
-
We work with local growers to source seasonal, school-appropriate produce that meets quality and safety standards.
-
We combine harvests from multiple farms at our facility and pack orders based on your school’s needs — so you get a consistent, reliable supply.
-
No need to manage pickups or multiple vendors — we deliver directly to your cafeteria or central kitchen.
-
We help schools integrate local produce into menus, organize taste tests, provide signage, and collaborate on garden & nutrition education.
